I can think of several things from the top of my head.

Elites want to protect their investments and wealth more. C. is very important.
a. pass more laws that go against personal rights during increased ethnic tensions and race war
b. have people fight with each other during increasing automation
c. when foreigners go back to their countries, they take the US currency and put it into their country which creates demand for USD (note, this one has a very convoluted and complex argument I once saved)
