How can they be silenced though? There is no one audience to reach in today's culture, there are a bunch of political subcultures. Sarrazin is widely read not because he is harmless enough not to be silenced but because he unites the social democratic and new right audiences, because he was already of some popularity because of politics, because he thrives on scandals and because his books are stupid enough to be read by anyone.

Kant's ethical system can be applied in any form of society.
Adorno discusses the vices of every pragmatist-rationalist system.
Spengler's writings describe life cycles of all civilizations.
Kaczynski and Ellul have explained the fate of all cultures who reach a point of becoming high-tech (so much like an in-depth continuation of Adorno's pragmatist-rationalist systems, you could state that they focused on latter stage of cultural evolution).

Plato and Kant say everything you need to know about pre-modern world (you could claim that it won't be a complete without Spinoza and I'd agree). The other four explain everything about the modern and postmodern.
