That's not true, there have been westerners who have been initiated into and even ascended to high levels in eastern spiritual orders, a white guy with the adopted name Bodhinatha Veylanswami is the head of one of the Shaivite Nath orders and is revered as a spiritual leader by Hindus who belong to that order
