Give me a QRD on Book I of Plato’s Republic.
Everything I’ve read from Plato so far seems to follow the same general idea of Socrates poking holes in people’s assumptions about things. Book 1 was no different, but I want to know if I’m missing something deeper.

Book I was likely written earlier than the rest of the Republic. In other words, you are actually on to something; Book I takes on the character of earlier Socratic dialogues more so than the rest of the book for this reason.

I disagree, Book II and III also look more like earlier Socratic dialogues
