It's not a consistent text but reflects his changing views over the course of his life and he contradicts himself at various points because of this. Still worth reading through but you have to additionally read the later Neoplatonists in order to find a consistent system. It's value is more in the spiritual insight and beauty of the text than in it being a rigorous system.
