Because they are either this guy >>15063919 or have only read into the subject so they can synthesize some sort of identity which they conceived before engaging with the ideas in the texts. An identity is fundamentally meaningless and terribly fragile when removed from it's vacuum so anons struggle over each other to prove themselves the most unique (chan) or most luke warm (Reddit). Meanwhile, the actual concepts of Buddhism, likeost spiritual endeavors, require the utmost persistent and dedicated discipline, and absolute adopting of the practice. It is formed from the inside out, but anons try to form it from the outside in, prioritizing their image of a Buddhist before anything else.

I don't know about r/buddhism, but it's a religion designed fot male Kshatriyas, i.e. man who desire to kill enemies, conquer adversitied etc, so that's why true Buddhists are very violent individuals

Probably a combination of the impact of anonymity on human behavior online, Buddhism's negatively-framed teachings and the subsequent impact on confused individuals, along with surface-level misunderstandings of concepts that serve to fill a void of tenuous identity so very common in the human condition.

Add a liberal sprinkling of dunning kruger and you have lots of people figuring out what good intentions are by trying to be the first crab to pull the others down from the edge of the bucket.

Of course, if you withdraw your projections, you will understand it is not they who are pedantic and angry, it is only yourself.

>Why are Buddhists on r/buddhism... so angry

The reason reddit buddhists are angry is that they were the standard western secular woke buddhists until a couple of actual asian turned up and started berating everyone for secularising their religion and claiming appropriation. That made the whites angry but they cant shout at minorities so their impotence shines through on everyone else.
