This brings to mind the criticism (iirc, and I could be extrapolating) that G.K Chesterton makes of Nietzsche and those who apply his ideas uncritically: that the exaltation of strength devoid of responsibility and kindness is not to be found in truly strong, but rather in the fantasies of jealous invalids. Having once been there myself, I'm inclined to agree.
