Ur is unironically super based. Introduction to Magic is a masterpiece, Knowledge of the Waters being one of the best essays ever written

That's a pretty damn good essay. That and Subterranean Logic in Vol 2.

I’m not into Evola. I see this guy at the beginning of the video, playing with his jewelry, as more a fit for this team than Max and Friedrich

I just read the Waters essay now while enquiring, it has an air of decadence. And I find it to be confusingly blind at times. None the less it is very interesting in the sense of specifying definite truths of unconscious forces.

I'm the first guy. I don't necessarily subscribe to Evola's conception of magic. I think his framework is interesting/useful for anyone who is interested in embarking on a spiritual path though. I highly recommend all his work, if only to provide a perspective that is atypical

Not any of those guys, I do practice ritual magic. I haven't read Evola firsthand, but I have an opinion of him borrowed mostly from this post of Greer's blog

I think it is derived from old Italian paganism, and staid as a leftover superstition.

It's literally the metal horns hand sign. Johnny James Dio learned it from his Italian grandmother and used it in his concerts, popularizing it to this day.

No, it was and is a general concept throughout Eurasian civilizations. Greeks and Persians talk about it too.

Golden Dawn stuff. But don't get me wrong, I'm pretty much at the Wonderwall level of magical skill:

Yeah it came up with something similar but this actually shows the gesture and has Italian aspects, but I am confused, isn't this an evil symbol itself? So the evil symbol is only evil because it is associated with it all and may not be a thing for evil necessarily? Or did he show the sign out of a more sentimental acknowledgement?

Yes.

I recommend this blog; this is where I learned about the Qliphoth. He can give a much better explanation than I can.
