I've been attempting to read Critique of Pure Reason but it's just too spergy. I think I'll drop it for the time being and return once I've read some background material, there's a chart or something that probably explains how to work up to it. In the meantime can someone here sum it up in a couple paragraphs?
Also, would it be a good idea to go ahead and read philosophers that position themselves in relation to Kant, such as Schopenhauer, Hegel, Land, etc?

Addendum: to elaborate on the relatedness of the pic to the post. The frog is me, the anime girl is Kant, and the hammer is Kant's confusing philosophy.
