Joe Rogan is NOT one of the greatest minds. He's a former UFC fighter who runs a talk show on which he occasionally features intellectuals. Nothing more. Nothing else.

He's no Plato, or Nietzsche, or Peterson. He's not a profound or original thinker by any stretch. Sure, he makes some good points about SJWs and censorship. Some of them might even be slightly original. But lots of people have things to say about SJWs. Hell, even my cleaning lady does.

Because barely anybody buys books anymore, barely anybody has the willpower and discipline to take time out of their schedule to read a book anymore, let alone finish one. You can listen to a podcast while working, exercising, cleaning, standing on your head in a dark room, so on and so forth. Podcasts are a lot more versatile and easily accessible to the average person since they don't have to *read* it.

it's kind of pathetic to be honest. he could influence a lot of things with his kind of reach but he'd rather pump him self up in the gym, then artificially soothe his muscles and tendons with a joint or two at night and then talk to some other shitlords nobody cares about.

i'm not saying he should be a better person. just that he could be. the reason he chooses not to be known by us or himself for that matter.

I sometimes wonder if certain secret organizations have their manipulation game so on par that they can control the importent parts of a person's believe structure. so they don't act out of line, but don't even realize they have been handed an agenda.

OK thanks. I'm following the "start with Greeks" path right now and got the Plato complete works. However it says I need to read the myth book, Iliad and Odyssey first, which is extensive. I had some of it in highschool, but will it benefit my reading of Plato greatly or is it just "nice" to have some background info?
