I don't think he supports it so much as perceive its inevitability then goes from there. Why shouldn't he? It is.
I like him because while inventorying the past he attempts to see the future. He's a legitimately intelligent man and a beautiful writer, like Nietzsche (as another anon stated) but up to date. For me he's the most important philosopher alive right now and it's not even close.
