Mandeep is pretty based. Not really a popsci writer but her articles are worth checking out.

She contributed to JTRIG. Ideas about manipulating opinion using the internet, tried and tested, and employed.

I don't consider that I've read enough to start recommending, but since we're talking about psychiatry / psychology: which was the first book your read on the matter that got you interested in the subject or any of it's branches?
For me it was “The Boy Who was Raised as a Dog”, wasn't really interested in child psychiatry/psychology until I read this

Any Jungians here? How can we revive Jungian depth psychology in 21th century, bros?

Jung is based
You could probably bring petersonites into real Jungian psychology, but other than that idk

Men and his symbols by C.Jung to get you started on Jungian psychology.

I meant as an active, thriving field. I feel the whole discipline was based on the greatness of Jung himself, so when he died, his field died with him too (I know post-Jungians exist but none of them were as great as Jung).

The appeal of academic positivist psychology is that any retard could get his PhD and start his research and actually contribute (save for the controversies surrounding social psychology), because of the specified rigors and standards.

This is not possible with depth psychology, and I think it's one of the reasons the field lost popularity.

What are the applications of Myers and Briggs Personality Types? Is it really the most accurate way we have of categorizing behaviour patters?

>What are the applications of Myers and Briggs Personality Types?
They are quite helpful for writing self-help books.
