My friend told me he is quitting his job to become a full time writer. I asked him about it and he sent me pic related as a sample of what he's working on. It's a short story about his high school British literature teacher which he plans to turn into a novel. What do you guys think it? Constructive criticism only please..

I hope that this is a joke otherwise your friend is a terrible writer

This is why you only share work in university creative writing programs where everyone signs a contract to not leak or steal your work. Your friend is a moron for trusting his asshole "friends" such as yourself.

It's amusing, but not enough to attract interest right away. Funny books have to be really, really fucking funny or otherwise no one's gonna bother to read them.

If this isn't a joke your friend should really stick to his job

Sort of amusing, if it was some blog I would probably read it. Has the feeling of a Sam Hyde video or something like that.

Man, the only funny thing about this is that your friend quit his job to write it, and that makes it genuinely hilarious. This is literally the kind of stuff that people would only read out of sheer malevolence so that they could laugh at the stupidity of the author.

It barely passes for satire, anon.

A few minutes ago I saw a thread called "since /lit/ has the highest IQ", and then I read the replies to this OP

Okay but this is nitpicky then because you knew what he meant and it's pronounced the same way anyways. If he spelt it offect then you would be correct to complain.
