Only three of these are recent purchases. Finished top and bottom, working on JAHB, then maybe I'll read Dante but I'm not really set on anything right now. I've got minimum 10 days left of reading Joseph until then.

They're new insofar as I don't purchase my books second-hand. I can afford it and the Everyman's are worth the price imo. The Hobbit and LOTR were a Chrismas gift to myself to replace my mass market paperbacks.

The top 3 are new, bottom one is a translation to dutch which I haven't started reading yet.
Currently reading the top 2, after that I'll start on dominion.
Do you guys know of any other good (auto)biographies I should read?

Was at a thrift store and saw this shit in one of the shelves. Was printed in 1951 and the experiments its describes are the shit pro-lifers think are real.

Part of it describes motor response on 20 week old anesthetized fetuses vs ones on opiods and shit. There's a whole bunch of other fucked up shit in it as well.

Very cool anon.
Dont quite understand what you mean by this though:
>and the experiments its describes are the shit pro-lifers think are real.

>> No.14574022

>>14573981

A lot of the experiments in it are from the era of "hey lots poke this retard's open brain to see whats wrong with him" type shit. Including a lot of shit with fetuses, its comically evil.

I prefer LotR as three books just because of the weight and bulk, but that edition is pretty solid otherwise.

I’m finishing the book right now and have enjoyed it. But I have nothing to compare it to. It seems to be the more popular edition, though...

(op) i bought those from bookinists, the only editions they had. they mostly have hardcovers (guess they survive more often, majority of their assortment is soviet print), and i personally don't care about form. if it's cheap enough, i'm buying it (no point in fancy editions if i'm going to read it in 2-5 days and move onto the next book)
