Don't get too caught up in the translation debate. The bible is the bible, just read whichever one you can get your hands on. God isn't going to damn you to hell for not knowing whether or not it is "the Sons of God" or "the Sons of Israel".

You can try a parallel edition of the NT if you want. One exampe is NRSV in one column, NIV in another, and the Greek in the middle. Along with the greek is the literal translation
