Today i saw a guy on TV wearing a shirt on which was written John 3:16.
If you feel alone and lost in life think how God sacrified his son to give us hope.

Also Matthew 27:46.
This passage shows how Jesus was doubtful and scared of God.

I am not a religious person but i am scared of God, truth is i am scared of everything and everybody.
Jesus sacrifice makes me feel my useless lonely life is a little less shit.
Sorry for the blog, i just wanted to talk to somebody.
Goodbye.

Sincerely you are wrong. Jesus hung around with criminals. Many saints were criminals or actively tried to help save them. You know nothing about the religion yet try to twist it to attack people. A true Christian would be deeply involved in a seedy underbelly trying to bring people to light

By enjoying and relishing on it? You're no saint., you enjoy being part of the ruckus, don't lie to yourself. Oop it's not bad if I look at a loli pic some one posted, enjoy some casual racism here and there or the sexual content randomly posted.
You're like a drunkyard ruining your own liver to prove alcoholism is bad to other people.

Strawman strawman strawman...
The light shines brightest in the dark. Also where is this assertion that Christians should be perfect coming from? A GOOD Christian should be striving for perfection, but Jesus died so your average one can be absolved as they are too shit to save themselves. I think the religion accounts for moral failure and inadequacy, as long as you recognise it

From the moment you come to this place(hell, I suppose you were always from here) onwards any legitimacy on your claims is lost. Any other Christian would find a better to practice Christianity in real life and even online.
You're cloth from the same fabric as anyone here, and is reveling yourself in fake martyrdom in order to keep relishing on your vile tendencies while pretending to have a purer objective. You're slave to these tendencies, not respectful of god. Stop with your excuses, you don't fool anyone.

>> No.14453564

>>14453557
Yeah it’s just another repeat of your strawmanning. You know nothing about me except that I post on a literature board. You have no details about my life, beliefs or outlook. The only reason your claims would be so negative is pure projection on your own part, and the tradition of insecure people to place their own failings on others to “explain” why their views surely must be hypocritical. I have not judged your life in the same manner at all, or suggested you are wasting time here or have any nefarious purpose in being here. I’m a slave of nothing, I probably spend an hour a day here max to get book recommendations. Perhaps you spend longer and are regretful about it

My point is that you're being disingenuous about accepting your failures and seeking self-improvement. I don't need to know about your personal life, I just need to know about the people you like to hang out with and the places you deliberately decide to go. That shows your character more than you'd like to admit.

If you block images and avoid bait threads, there is literally nothing wrong with /lit/. You make it out to be something like old /b/, do you even browse this site? It seems as if your personal bitterness simply wants to lash out at anyone who affirms positive meaning in their life. Rather than saying anything against the people you are attempting to criticize, you are just publicly displaying your own defeatism.

Either way, an image board is a morally neutral object in itself. The only thing that makes it potentially bad are the users, and they can have the potential to change and reform their lives. To give up on the redemption of any community, no matter how sinful, is inherantly anti-Christian.

>> No.14453611

>>14453582
Not really, I think you can sense from this post that your argument is rather weak. You can’t really make sweeping judgements simply because I happen to be posting on a literature image board at this hour. I don’t think you understand Christianity and I don’t think you understand the notion of people using a website for different things. I don’t want to discuss stuff on Reddit lmao

>an image board is a morally neutral object in itself
But its culture is easily graspable and not morally neutral at all. /lit/ culture endorses racism and pedophilia more than other boards and this can easily be found out by comparison.
>>14453611
>because I happen to be posting on a literature image board at this hour
I'm being realistic, that's all. Your average /lit/ poster is most likely to have at least some warped tendency that's all.
>I don’t want to discuss stuff on Reddit lmao
No one does.

Culture can be changed. It is not a static entity. Did you read my post? If you have been here for a while, you know that firsthand. /lit/'s culture has changed immensely after the 2016 election with the influx of /pol/-influenced users. There is no reason why it can't change and to give up on any community no matter how bad, is against the teachings of Christ himself.

>this can easily be found out by comparison.
Please show us then if it is so easy. What are you basing this off of? Certainly not just personal opinion, right?

>> No.14453721

>>14453694
>Culture can be changed
I'm basing myself off the current culture for coherent poster comparison. You're for sure reading those 2010 and 2025 /lit/ posts.lel

>Certainly not just personal opinion, right?
/his/ actively fight against /pol/'s racist views with logic all the time instead of just letting it be or endorsing it. And I don't see much pedophilia in there either.

>logic
how can you use logic against subjective emotion? racism is spiritual, the logic stuff about crime statistics or whatever is just fluff used to communicate with the uninitiated. you'd have to be really retarded to think that you can logic people into thinking that importing a billion niggers is okay, or to assume that the people who are okay with it used logic to get there
