I've grown fond of Akata myself. It's a much meaner word than nigger ever was and cuts much deeper since it's used by native West Africans to ridicule African Americans. It essentially translates to "Jackal" in the Yoruba language, but in this context its being used to compare African Americans to wild dogs that live off the scraps of bigger, stronger animals just like Jackals do. It means to mock them for daring to even call themselves African when they've never even set foot in Africa in the entirety of their lives.
