How do I measure 'high brow' literature?
I feel like I often have difficulty figuring out whether what I'm reading is quality lit. What aspects should I keep an eye on for assessment?

if you need to be told its good then youre just a fucking puppet dancing for the recognizition of others, read things you enjoy until you know enough to enjoy more complex things.

Dont go straight to complex things that "everyone thinks are smart" but you dont understand, because you WONT understand them, and truly intelligent people will realize youre actually an illiterate idiot, but also,s icne youre not reading things that are adequate for your level you will never develop it.

Read what you fucking like, at the level of complexity you can manage and about the themes that interest you.
