The only ones worth watching are the old farts who sometimes give you an obscure book recommendation for some good historical fiction/biography.

Every male booktuber under the age of 40 is a cringey pseud/brainlet. Pic related is probably my favourite booktuber at the moment, and I like Alan Moreton too for recommendations. the video has 1:30 of meme and then he says he hasn't read the book (as a joke?), and then he goes through wiki info, describing the book, and then he reframes all of that and says he doesnt buy it. ill admit this is the closest he has ever gotten to a review in any video, but given how tenuous and elliptical this is im not really sure this magically makes him a booktuber. it would be calling pewdiepie a booktuber, or if an ASMR channel made a single book review and calling them a booktuber.
