Why do women always want to be the primary object of desire in a relationship?

My gf gets upset that I refuse to have sex with her because it's Sunday and I went to church. Yes, I live in sin but I am trying to fight against it. Instead of supporting me and accepting me she gets pissed of and starts whining about how I don't love her any more and love God more than her. Yes, I do love God more than you, this is how it should be.

Truly to escape Hegel involves an exact appreciation of the price we have to pay to detach ourselves from him. It assumes that we are aware of the extent to which Hegel, insidiously perhaps, is close to us; it implies a knowledge, in that which permits us to think against Hegel, of that which remains Hegelian. We have to determine the extent to which our anti-Hegelianism is possibly one of his tricks directed against us, at the end of which he stands, motionless, waiting for us.

>In philosophy truth is had when the conception corresponds to reality. A body is the reality, and soul is the conception. Soul and body should be adequate to each other. A dead man is still an existence, but no longer a true existence; it is a reality void of conception. For that reason the dead body decays. So with the true will; that which it wills, namely, its content, is identical with it, and so freedom wills freedom.

Marx based his work on the Hegelian dialectic. If Communist theory wasn't rooted in Hegel, then it would have actually been successful. So you can attribute every death caused by capitalism since the decline of the Soviet Union to Hegel.

No? Wtf, how did you even come up with such a ridiculous reading of Hegel?

>> No.14425014

A truly Hegelian gesture would be to say you shouldn’t abstractly isolate the ideal from the material because they are preserved within each other. In a way, there is nothing more idealist than claiming, as Marx did, that we need “less theory” and “more practice” (“The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it”, blah blah blah). And it also be idealist to proclaim yourself a “materialist” who opposes “idealism” (which is why Schelling viewed the distinction between “idealism” and “materialism” as silly). So, if anything, Hegel is much less of an idealist than Marx.

That's how it's supposed to be in your eyes - you should understand why it's hard for her to accept that, she doesn't believe god even exists. Neither of you are wrong, but this difference should probably be acknowledged so it can be resolved/break you up.
