It's been years and /lit/ cant still give a decent answer

Truth necessarily exists. If there were nothing then it would be true that there is nothing. Contradiction. I’m not replying to anyone itt

In the places that there is nothing there could not have been you to perceive it. You require something to be something

Two things which truly terrify me:
When I begin to grasp the concept of nothing.
When I begin to grasp the concept of God.
When either of these two understandings begin to dawn on me I immediately think of something trivial and ordinary and small to prevent the screaming mind

Why is there A instead of B, for A = something and B = nothing?

This question already assumes:

1. there is a set of platonic axioms that can be seen as 'reasons'
2. there are potentials, a set including potential reasons and physical potential
3. A means potentials become actuals and B means they don't

Reasons react turning potentials into actuals, starting from tautologies, then potential reasons, then physical potentials. Why? Because there is not a distinction between a physical and a purely mathematical statement, that is, physics can be be seen as purely mathematical. Note, this doesn't mean determinism but merely confines what language physics works on. So in this manner logical causation, which is necessarily orderly, leads to physical causation. In case you are curious, free will remains because this isn't determinism but self-determinism.

ITT: Smoothbrains can't into the simultaneous existence of things and nothing.
Something will always spread into and occupy nothingness eventually because physics (quantum and otherwise). The fault is in perceiving time as a moving constant instead of seeing it all at once, as you would a film reel in your hands.

Do not seek the source, it is a red herring in existence. Why is there something? People are imperfect, we are not equipped to fully realize our place here. Much like an ant is being led by chemical trails, so are we being led by chemical secretions, romantically said to be dreamers, I see us more like coma patients. See, for them existence is nothingness. What were we before we were born? What about after we die?
The question is wrong, there is nothing and something. Both states live in harmony. Constantly there’s something coming out of nothing and something going into nothing. An eternal metaphysical cycle that can’t be broken, because in order for there to be nothing, something shouldn’t have existed in the first place, and in order for there to be something, nothing should have existed in the first place.
I say, what we are, is a reflection on the water. You see it, but to touch that something, you touch nothing. Death is looking away from the reflection and realizing, we were too fixated on the self, rather than who we actually are, which is nothing.
