Depression is just laziness in the face of failure.

>> No.14265024

Yes, he was also an evil being who wished to bring depression to whole humanity and leave it without hope.

He also didn't understand Hinduism and Buddhism, thus defaming them.

someone can explain to me what schopenhauer ment with the will?

It sometimes feels like a good metaphore for true phenomenon like how a peoples will something lets you undertsatnd how political movement tend to not be driven by logic but most of the time it sounds like nonsene. Like a force that surrounds and lives within evewrythig. Wich to me sounds like a atempt to ascribe meaning and unity to a aworld that doesnt have it.

At least that is what i understod im pretty sure that there is a lot of things about this concept that i missed but thats what i got.

>> No.14265152

>>14265138
seems to be a sort of prime ontological concept that he's identifying as both the lived experience of one's will and the basic principle of motion/force/whatever makes things happen in the world

>motion/force/whatever makes things happen in the world
so its like the force on star wars?

>>14265164
kek. Idk how the force works in star wars, but there isnt anything mystical about schop's will concept as far as I can tell.

>> No.14265216

>>14265179
my principal problem with that concept is that he says that literally everything has a will to exist even inanimated objects wich sounds counterintuitive the only way that i have to cope with that is thiunking that the big bang was with infused will into the world
