Does she have anything actually worth reading?

We the living
Anthem
The fountainhead
Atlas Shrugged
The introduction to objectivist epistemology

No. Practically speaking her philosophy is just hard neoliberalism. Most of neoliberals jerk off to loli versions of her.

Anthem if you want a good twenty-minute read

>> No.14258447

I don't know anything about her philosophy, but I tried reading Atlas Shrugged, and the prose was shit, only outshitted by the goofy bluntness of the characterizations.

Anthem is decent

The Fountainhead. A large body of Rand criticism comes from people who have never read her books, they 'start' then quit then trash etc.

Anthem is the corniest book I've ever read.
>dude what if instead of saying "I" people said "we"

Haven't read of her other works though, maybe there is something worthwhile beyond Anthem but its turgid prose and primary school complexity makes me doubt it.

It's not exactly like Rand is the Greeks. It's pretty easy to pick up. I read AS, Anthem and some essays on objectivism and found nothing worthwhile. She writes how a ninth grader thinks a great writer would write like. For all of her worship of ingenuity and self-reliance, it's hilarious how much she reads like a ripoff of Orwell.

Idk anon. I’ve read a lot of Rands stuff and Fountainhead seemed like a warmup to Atlas Shrugged. Atlas Shrugged albeit about some bullshit failed philosophy that only tards who can’t read Hegel and can’t comprehend anything beyond “gubment bad” seem to gravitate towards is a really pretty story with some fun soliloquies. Honestly, though, I wouldn’t waste my time again.
