Start loving yourself unapolagetically, you dummy

You don’t.
That’s why it’s hard.

fretting over the quality of your work is an essential part of the writing experience

First you must know what exactly makes you feel like that. Is your writing objectively bad, or are you just too insecure of yourself?

>> No.14205766

Pretend you're doing it ironically. That way it can't be bad since it was done on purpose.

One way is write drunk, edit sober
Or just stop writing cringefiction

Whenever you read your work after you write it, you should be sincere about it. If you liked it, that's all. You shouldn't bother thinking that it doesn't have enough technique, or your writing isn't deep enough, or any other overcomplications. If you enjoyed reading it, that's all you need to know that whatever you wrote is good

Good advice, anon. Sometimes I write something that doesn't sound nice and I start rationalizing reasons for why it is and should be bad. I'll try to keep it simple.
Nice to read = good
Awful to read = bad

When I reread something a few days after writing it down, it feels more external to myself so I can look at it more objectively.

This has been my method after starting to write again. Seems to be the method (combined with 'baccy piping).

Tipsy writing, rather than full on drunk

And this

>> No.14206343

Realise that you can go back and edit, and stop writing with the idea in mind that what you're putting down is the finished product.
