Look at Jung's pictures and you will see the ego written on his face. Look at his nose, the eyes, the cunningness, the anger, the ambition; every illness is written on the face. He lived as an ordinary, fear-ridden man. He was very afraid of spirits, ghosts, and very jealous, competitive, argumentative, quarrelsome.

I've listened to audiobooks of both Maps of Meaning and 12 Rules. Maps of Meaning is word salad with some interesting ideas he obviously picked up somewhere, like the bit explaining that when you pick up a tool (think screwdriver) you consider it an extension of your body or something like that, it's near the beginning. 12 Rules is literally personal anecdotes (In My DrEaM I ImAgInEd MySeLf In ThE CeNtEr oF A CaThEdRaL) + insights from other researchers.
He's better than most /lit/ posters, but I've seen the same quality of prose in passable self-help literature.
He's above average.
