I want to make a website where users can create charts like pic related, edit charts from others, discuss them etc.
Would you be interested? And would you contribute?

Yes, i think this would be really useful

I would be interested, yeah. Don't know if I could contribute myself, though

Yes and yes. What will it be like? Like a flowchart constructor, where you create a graph-like structure and upload images and description?

cool look and idea for the website though

This is a good idea. I wanted to make a chart long time ago and couldn't do it because it just takes way too much time to do it on Ps or Ms Paint. It'd be nice to have various tamplates available and have the user fill them with images and texts of their liking, intead of those annoying complicated online editors. Keeping it simple is the best approach.

why would you want to read some American's book on the Trojan war before the fucking Iliad??

Yes, like a flowchart creator but I thought of using a public books API instead of letting users upload images.
But I want some limits for the charts because there are charts out there that are too messy, so the user shouldn't have too much freedom in designing.
But that's just my thoughts, you can all give your ideas.

limit options for lines to primary and secondary colors
allow users to specify orange = optional, yellow = mandatory, purple = gay, etc
allow users to connect lines to the top, left, right, or bottom
allow users to connect up to three lines to any one given side
proportion the spacing of line placement automatically
allow users to scale the images
allow users to have as much freedom in positioning books
preferably letting them drag around the books while keeping the lines updated properly

When there are only two colors why should they specify more than two colors?
>allow users to connect up to three lines to any one given side
Isn't that too much? When there are too many ways you can go from every given point it's not a straightforward guide anymore.
And given that there are only two colors two of the paths would be optional. Otherwise you would have two or more mandatory paths.

Sounds cool. Have you started at all? What were you thinking of using for the base functionality? Post github

You could maybe just use the Goodreads api to grab proper images and titles for each entry, rather than users uploading the images/titles.
