Why is Christianity pronatalism? I want to be clear, I myself am not an antinatalist myself because I believe any harm that may come to a person is limited in terms of severity and durance. However I cant for the life of me think of a bigger asshole thing to do than procreate while upholding the doctrine of Hell, a place of infinite torment that is anywhere between “not very difficult to go to” and “exceedingly hard to avoid”. If you have kids and you think Hell is a real place, then by all means apologize to them. Muslims too.

What is hell? A bishop once stated that it is choosing to live without God, while on earth. So perhaps hellfire and infinite torment is but a parable, just like how Jesus used to deliver his message. Yes, hell is real. But it might not be literal fire - and regardless, each individual are free to choose the Lords salvation. So raise your kids right, and help lead the world to Christ. The more believers, the better.

While your child might possibly go to Hell, he might also go to Heaven. Other children are born all the time, and so it is the case that countless souls are brought into this world and raised improperly. But the more good we doo in the world, and the more good our sins and daughters will do, then the more people will be saved. Anti-natalism is only powerful when the whole world is convinced. But when most people would rather reproduce, it doesn’t really matter if you decide to bring one more person into this world or not.
