Who here has read the entire Phenomenology of Spirit?

I hear he's a terrible writer and very hard to understand. Reading it on your own just once won't get you anywhere. Friends at uni call Hegel the final boss of Philosophy, not because he's right, but because he's just a monstrocity

Im about 300 pages through it, honestly a cozy read. Hegel has a unique brevity and changes out his phrase and observances from chapter to chapter.

He's a terrific writer who makes his work interesting and engaging. People who claim this type of thing don't bother to put in the time to read philosophy as a serious systematic work and their ignorance shows. It's like reading a high level scientific paper without knowing anything about the topic or how it developed and going "this doesn't make any sense"
