Not sure if this is the right place for this kind of question, but I'm looking for non-fiction books that are about
1) alternatives to the 9-5 grind
2) cheap frugal ways of living and surviving
3) retiring early so that I don't have to be working in the year 2090

> "alternative" ways of living
If youre not a idiot, get uni, than get a shit job, than ok job, than easy job with ok money, that a single real "alternative" ways of living. If you work at one place all life and bust you ass off for money or be useless unemployed trash both of these paths will lead you to disappointment and suffering. If you are hinting that there is some sly, secret way to feed yourself without spending time or effort, then at least you should have some special skills for something.

There’s no easy way out. Subvert the status quo wherever and whenever you can.
I see things about people “getting off the grid”, well we all need to do that together.

Buy everything from bulk, dollar and second-hand stores, and live in the cheapest apartment you can find. It's not really complicated, I live on 600 dollars a month, Yangs 1000 in freedom bux would be total luxury to me

>1) alternatives to the 9-5 grind
Probably either entrepreneurship or well fare.
>2) cheap frugal ways of living and surviving
There's plenty of info on that around the internet.
>3) retiring early so that I don't have to be working in the year 2090
Retire from what? Doesn't look like you're planning to work anyway.

Read John Seymour’s The Complete Book of Self Sufficiency. You only need 5 acres to live very well. You can make it work on 2 if your forced to. Hustle for a year or two and buy some decent land

Don’t listen to the hippies in this thread, OP, unless you want to end up working shitty manual labour jobs for the rest of your life.
Find yourself a specialized trade you enjoy and do it. It takes about three years to become a nurse, two to get certified in cyber security, etc. Etc. Figure out something intellectually enjoyable which keeps you active, and do it. People shit on careers, but you could get a paramedic license in a year and spend your twenties working on an ambulance, then become an RN or doctor or pick up an associates degree in accounting and manage logistics for a large company or overseas with the military or Red Cross.
The book related focuses specifically on becoming a mercenary soldier, but more generally it’s a guide on how to be your own boss, come out ahead in the workforce, specialize, etc. Written for a field where being expandable is a death sentence. It’s solid career advice that you can learn from.

3 just means being a massive success and getting rich. I will assume we are all incapable of doing this.

2 does not require much research

1 means train for a career then become a freelance contractor and just work low hours for an okay rate

Stop buying 2 Starbucks drinks per day

you must swallow your pride and accept the fact that you will either work until you die like everyone else has for the past 12,000 years, or become a medicaid nigger.

go to university, then enlist in the army or join the peace corps. you will definitely learn to live on very little.

if you're young, just having a healthy body that still works and can reach peak performance is a huge advantage. don't waste time.

army is for niggers, marines for spics and trannies. chair force is where it's at if you have half a brain. but really if you're okay with letting the government fuck you in the ass for a few years it can pay off. my friend was a POG and gets $6k per month for absolutely nothing and blows it all on booze and trinkets from amazon.
