It’s not so much about focus, it’s about the energy music may provide a person. It’s easier busting out a 5:00min listening to shit like electrohosue than listening to gentle piano music. Same applies to how I write: the more aggressive the music, the more engaged I seem to be. This process can be overdone and give you a burnout.
