New Official /lit/ Policy Regarding Anime Posting

After much discussion, we will be rolling out an official policy change regarding anime posting. During the initial phase of the transition period, anime posters will receive a warning. Once the transition period has ended, a strict program of immediate and permanent banishment will commence for the posting of cartoons unrelated to literature and commonly associated with inceldom and NEETism.

Patrons of /lit/ are encouraged to report all incidents of anime posting from here on, as the values associated with weebism and infantilization as it relates to the Japanese cartoon industry stand in direction opposition to the Western patrician values we wish to promote here on this board.

I would also be interested in obtaining the transcripts of this discussion regarding whether anime should be allowed or not on this board, in order to audit whether a fair debate with both sides represented has been held. You claim that "the values associated with... the Japanese cartoon industry stand in direct opposition to the Western patrician values," and yet prominent works within Western academia, e.g. Prometheus and Atlas by Dr. Jason Reza Jorjani, would strongly disagree with you. The solution, if any should be applied in this case toward content rather than the quality of a thread, is surely not a blanket ban of all anime, but only those anime which do not provoke literary discussion.
Lastly, your claim that you wish to guide /lit/ along certain lines, toward "Western patrician values," without defining explicitly those values, is at the very least concerning, and potentially terrifying, especially if this thread is not merely a shit post but genuinely the expressed beliefs and will of the moderation team.
