the more i read about Traditionalism and cyclical history the more I think it is just this "safe space" for people with Religious and trad views. They can't comprehend the depravity of the world today so they simply pray that everything will go back to the way it was. How arrogant can you be to assume you have any idea what will happen in the future, you're no different than these "Futurology" R*dditors.

when a plant dies, it falls to the dirt and nourishes the younger plants around it as it decomposes. this is basically their whole analogy. but when a human being dies, nothing like this happens. the human is just dead, they get buried and eventually forgotten, nothing new comes from their death, no new human being at least. in other words, a dead plant can nourish a new plant, and a dead human cannot nourish a new human. human life is not cyclical, its clearly linear. only a living body can create new life, so the concept of a "collapse" or a "death" ushering in a new era of goodness is retarded. its just hippie bullshit.
