Get a corkscrew.

...I learned to drink with old Italian campagnoli... they cut their table wine with sparking water. Over time, I used less water and learned to enjoy the taste. It helps living in Italy.

If burger, go to a Whole Foods or whatever and ask for a recommendation. They’ll give a couple cheap reds and whites to see what you like. Read too.

Why do most people in this thread have such clean, unread-looking books? Do you all not buy second-hand books? If you go to garage sales, secondhand/opshops (dunno what Americans call them, thriftshops?), book fairs, etc. you can find rundown copies of all the books I see in these topics at 1/10th the price, and all sorts of odd, interesting, or out-of-publication titles. Everything I see is so suspiciously spic and span and well-known.

Posted this on the other thread but it’s probably a better fit here anyway:

I know I really need to branch out from fiction, but I’m pretty happy with my bookshelf. This isn’t everything, but it’s the main shelf. Probably 1/2 or 3/4 of these I got dirt cheap from Value Village, which I’m pretty pleased about too
