Never got around to read much of Crowley. I have at least a basic understanding of the occult symbology and kabbalah.

Where should I start, and where should I go from there?

The Book of the Law, then Magick in Theory and Practice. Crowley is good, Qabbalah will definitely help getting the point.

>> No.13479014

Liber aba contains magick in theory and practice and book of the law

>The Book of the Law

The study of this Book is forbidden. It is wise to destroy this copy after the first reading.

Whosoever disregards this does so at his own risk and peril. These are most dire.

Those who discuss the contents of this Book are to be shunned by all, as centres of pestilence.

All questions of the Law are to be decided only by appeal to my writings, each for himself.

I have the Holy Books of Thelema and it contains both translated version of Liber AL and the original ugly-ass writing that Crowley scribbled in 3 hours. I think that's a nice touch.

>>13478947
Get the Holy Books of Thelema. It has several, shorter, books and some letters and The Stelle of Revealing and much more. It's fucking amazing.

Get this

Holy books is good but Liber ABA has more practical philosophy (do you want to blindly believe Crowley's visions or experience your own?)

that warning is just characteristic crowleyan theatrics to freak out credulous retards

yeah yeah i never read much of hoogler or boogler but you dont see me making a fucking thread about it

>> No.13482007

Book of lies is interesting but abstract. It felt like a meme — deliberately obtuse but ultimately an empty bag. Pretty much like all occultist writings.

Yea, it's not awfully practical but it's worth a read since, at least for me, Crowley was a great poet. You don't have to and shouldn't just jump to practice if you haven't read the theory.

>> No.13482461

I liked the law is for all. His own writings on the book of the law. Really the book that got me set for the dive into the rabbit whole. That and the book of lies. Happy reading

Fuck Crowley. He's a false prophet and brainlet reactionary against the Church. If you want to surpass him, study Plato and take LSD.
