Heracles was the first mortal ubermensch of greek mythology and adopting him as the ideal hero was genius. Why hasn't /lit/ taken the Heracles pill yet?

read a combination of Cynic books about/by Anthisthenes, Diogenes, and Crates of Thebes. There are some great plays related to Heracles such as Euripides. a ton of cults were based around Heracles back in the day: the cult of the hero-god.
