This is where it gets hazy. At what cost? Everything can't be boiled down to a psychological generality or a witty maxim. I think he might superficially improve lives, at the expense of intellectual honesty. I like his debates when he is kept in check, but his lectures can sometimes be alarming, they're so god damn subjective.

I don't agree with Peterson on a lot of things besides his psychological contributions/views (serious as a psyc student myself his U of T lectures are a must watch). But I would never wish the man any harm or sorrow. While the argument could be made that Peterson juiced his fame a fair bit for his own financial gain, I would not say that he started out with that intention. Furthermore most people would probably do the same, and cashing in on fame is a small crime compared to the real greedy corporatist fucks that control the monetary system/financial institutions.
