Why dont you ask God to do that in prayer? Its shorter, less time-consuming and most importantly more effective. You can combine that with spiritual readings. Try also to fast on bread and water on a wednesday and friday. Even if its for one week. Fasting will especially help you if you are saturated with other stuff like alcohol, cigarettes, coffee, excess and unhealthy eating.

While you pray or fast you can think about Jesus' life. Try the rosary.

Ill tell you from my experience that the most frustrating thing is just how hard it is to self-evaluate.

You dont know how bad you are in certain things and you dont know how good you are in others. You dont even know how good it feels to receive grace and when you are in a bad state you might not even realize how desolate you truly are. The biggest problem by far is you truly dont know how misaligned your beliefs might be. Prayer and fasting tends to clear out what Zizek might call ideology but what others might call worldliness. Everybody thinks they have near total control over yourselves but once you pray and fast you will realize the opposite. What you do and think forms your spiritual essence (including your very thought process that recognizes your own state) in a very way that eating healthy food or gorging on mcdonalds affects your body

I don't know what you mean by 'God wants to bro out with the Devil', however I do believe that God encourages people to do good. I'm still loose on the concept of Satan, though have been coming around to the idea. Every now and then, people tend to get notions. Little thoughts that pop to mind, they can even be surprising. Some thoughts are bad; "there's only a line dividing me and that oncoming vehicle, I could turn the wheel and there'd be a devastating head-on collision." "The mere sight of this guy angers me; he's also old, small, and clearly a lot weaker than me; I could kill him with my bare hands right now." "What a nice ass, and my hand is inches away..."

Generally I find that thoughts come so quickly that they're essentially concepts. It's not like I'm standing there for a couple seconds as a sentence runs through my mind. Anyhow, these thoughts of evil that seemingly come from nowhere, these spontaneous thoughts, I suspect they come from Satan or 'demons' or something of that nature. Meanwhile, those moments of revelation, of inspiration, as well as that voice in the back of your mind that says "you're considering doing/saying something that is very likely to not go well, you shouldn't do/say it", I believe that's God. People are very much capable of ignoring it of course, which is our free will at play.

People are capable of having our own thoughts, naturally, and I think that it tends to be more analytical and logical. I need to go pick up groceries, there could be some specials going on that I could take advantage of, though before I actually start shopping I need to withdraw money from the ATM since my wallet is presently empty save for the first $20 bill that I ever made from my books which will be 2 years old in less than 3 weeks. These thoughts don't seem to me to be from either God or Satan, they're just simple thoughts that are required to keep me alive and functioning as a human being. Now, if I go and see a small item that I could put in my pocket to steal, that's Satan. I stole one item, I was a kid, it was grape Hubbabubba gum that my mum wouldn't buy me, she saw me with it after we left and got extremely angry at me, and she was a feminist so believe me there was a long of anger in that woman. I haven't stolen since, to my recollection, and that was over 20 years ago I'm pretty sure, so notions to steal are not from my own mind; I don't want to steal anything and I never even give consideration to doing so, ever.

So, what would be a Godly thought? Well, sometimes I see an article of clothing that's nice, or a face/body that I like, and the thought flickers to mind to "give a compliment." When that happens, I almost always do so, and thus far except on one singular occasion it resulted in a pleasant smile and earnest thanks, even some surprised but pleased laughter, and thank God for that. I love it when that happens.

The introspection of prayer does seem to be very valuable and useful, as is the Christian modesty of knowing that we're all sinners because we all fall short to God's standard; his Son. He loves to make lots of loud noise to bother people and for a long time he would wake me up at 3-6AM with a stomp outside my door or by slamming his own. I began confronting him about it, even recorded some of the confrontations secretly (though he is aware of them, as is the Police), and in one of them he said the next time I talk to him I'll "get a punch in the head." I would love... love... absolutely love... if he had the guts to do that. Seriously. I would give myself over to the evil desires within me and I'd pound him into the dirt, he's almost half a foot shorter than me, over 50 pounds lighter than me, far less muscle mass, and twice my age... I would murder him, I would let Satan take me in that moment, and that is a scary thought. They were of very advanced age when he was born, but God instructs Abraham to sacrifice him. He's willing, and takes him away to be sacrifived, pretty sure on a mountain, but because God sees that he's willing He tells Abraham that he doesn't have to. God had also told Abraham before all this that he had to get out of his father's tent and get out into the world where he witnessed starvation and I think war as well if I'm not mistaken, which I might be.

So yeah, God can lead us to difficult circumstances, but life itself is inherently difficult and with suffering so sometimes people are shown things that can harden and strengthen them. Trying to come up with more examples of God being destructive but not much is coming to me, still learning of the Biblical texts. Well, God sacrifices his own son, Jesus, so there's that. God would have known of Jesus' ultimate fate, of being betrayed by Judas, arrested, tortured, and ultimtely put to death by a very slow and painful means; crucifixion. Brutal stuff, but sadly necessary.

I don't know, my sense of humour took a weird turn at the time, 'you feel me, dawg' is so far from how I typically communicate with people that I found it to be a funny thought so I typed it. Still, I stand by my view that God and Jesus are not the same entity, and Jesus doesn't seem to ever suggest such in the New Testament, at least from my readings thus far. Son of God, he also calls himself the Son of Man several times, refers to God as his father, but doesn't seem to call himself God.

Though that said, I wonder, does it truly go from binary to trinity? Probably not. Still, I thought it made sense.
