What is the right age to begin writing at? I am afraid to write now, in my early 20s, before I am experienced or have had time to think through what I have to say, but I am also conscious of being a product of my own time soon cast into irrelevancy and phased out by Gen Z.

Is it better to develop a world view through devotion to writing, or develop a world view and then come to writing?

You should start writing as early as possible to work on your prose.

I write every day. I am wondering when to start WRITING writing, writing as a project, writing with a vision, writing as consumption of my life.

It's not an age but a moment in your life. When you suddenly feel like something needs to be said, write it.

Ben Shapiro wrote 2 whole books by the time he was 21 so I'm afraid it's already too late for you.

As long as you've mastered the trivium and had plenty of knowledge and experience, you're good.

Flaubert didn't publish anything until he was 35. He worked on Bovary for a decade and did, frankly, almost nothing else by way of work. Just start writing, and writing, and reading, and reading.
