I would read Macdonald's section on psychoanalysis in Culture of Critique and then review Freud's source material to validate the value of Macdonald's critique.

Just read a psych101 textbook. Psychoanalysis is a meme anyways.

I wanted to start readoing about psychoanalysis. I don't really care about rigorous and "scientific" books, but rather interesting and thought provoking ones. I thought about reading Freud->Jung->Lacan
Could anyone recommend me a couple of book for each one of these writers? Or maybe a cronological order in which I could read them? Is there any writer I am forgetting?
