What is your opinion about Ranger's Apprentice?
I've read as a kid and found very neat for my time.

Same.
Never really delves into too much spectacular action, pretty much realistic mundane combat most of the time. Usually instead of fighting they think and plan to overcome something, or to balance the odds. One really comfy thing I remember is when the MC was a slave (I think) and that princess girl escaped with him, dragging him along through the winter (or was it early spring?) into the mountains and weaning him off that drug as he recovers. I'd say it's good for kids to read as it exposes them to a lot of good stuff for their development, much better than a lot of trash around.

one of the least memorable YA series ever. i forgot i even read this desu. can't remember a single thing about the story, i read it because the title was similar to The Last Apprentice which is way better
