I’m not from /pol/, but reading this book was so therapeutic for me. I remember buying this almost a week after he won the election.

Say whatever you want about his politics, but this book taught me a lot of things when it comes to wanting to stay true to yourself, while understanding how to do basic negotiation skills. He really seems like a nice person to talk to, even if he is the President.

Trump, Donald. Have always been fond of him. Polite, diplomatic, amiable. Romantic in the large sense. Slightly bogus.
Art of the Deal. Wonderful. The description of the iridescent finesse and rhythmic negotiation is superb.

trump didn't write it. It was written by Tony Schwartz.

Trump and Schwartz had an agreement to split royalties from the book on a 50–50 basis.

"In 2016, Schwartz said he had received some $1.6 million in royalty payments.[14] In October of that year, Schwartz said the royalties he was still receiving for the book "suddenly became, for me, blood money. I didn't want to be anywhere near it. It just feels wrong."[16] As a result, Schwartz said he would be donating the prior 6-months of royalties worth $55,000 to the National Immigration Law Center which advocates for more undocumented immigrants to remain in the USA legally. Schwartz had earlier donated royalties he received in the second half of 2015, worth $25,000, to a number of charities including the National Immigration Forum."

He's been known for decades as a slumlord who gets contractors to do massive amounts of work, refuses to pay them anything, then uses his army of dickbag lawyers to drag things out for years until the contractors settle for a small fraction of the agreed-upon price
Retarded boomers who see money as the only value worth striving for find this "smart" and think the rich can do no wrong
Retarded zoomers who see getting a reaction out of people as the only value worth striving for like him because they're edgelords and he's a rich old pervert who says whatever comes to mind

Yeah, that dastardly DNC conspiracy that made Sanders lose practically every primary in non-white states by huge margins! Who'd knew hundreds of thousands of blacks and latinos were working for the DNC all along? Turns out Sanders only won in majority white states, but I guess his lack of appeal among non-whites had nothing to do with his defeat eh?

Your point is wrong if not outright delusional. Trump knew that he might lose in FL, VA and IA so he played with a strategy based on campaigning hard in "solid blue" rust belt states like PA, MI and WI. And guess what, it paid off big time, thinking that Trump is "dumb as a rock" is exactly why the dems were caught with their pants down in these states they took for granted.
