I literally was put up like 2 grades or something when I was 10 because I was good at math? I don’t remember. There was no one there my age, got pushed down stairs and hit. Maybe bullying builds character if you’re an autist in high school but this wasn’t fun for me and made my character worse. My parents moved around to, when I was 12 I had gone to 5 different schools. Shit messes you up.

All of them were beaten hard in school because other kids instinctively knew they were barely humans, halfway organism halfway machine. The suffering in silence part is bad, yeah. This is mostly anecdotal, and I've long ago aged out of being bullied anyway, but I spend some time on Tumblr and there are stories there of people being punished for having been bullied because it's seen an embarrassment to the school administration that there's been an incident of harassment at all.
