are books for dumb people?

Have you ever stopped to consider that you're the dumb one?

Books are for everyone, that being said while I do enjoy reading them, I at times don't think I appreciate them enough

Not possible, 133 IQ is in the fourth standard deviation. In fact, I saw this comment coming before you even posting it

Do your read technical books?

>> No.12512733

The issue I find with many of my STEM career friends is that they treat books like a word problem in math. The focus on the bare essentials, reading for plot and characters, then get bored because there are only so many archetypes out there

The pleasure you get from reading may have more to do with personality traits than intelligence. Hard to see the value in literature if you’re not particularly observant or used to analyzing everything in strictly logical terms

>> No.12514114

Dumb people read hard books thinking it will raise their intelligence. Very high IQ people either don't read or read strictly for pleasure.

If going by the percentages only ~1.7% of people have an IQ of 132 or above (Mensa eligible), the equivalent height of someone between 6'3 and 6'4 in the United States (the upper 2%), so he's the cognitive equivalent of a 6'3 man. Imagine Mensa being a "tall people club" and 6'2 being the cut off. However, just because you have a big dick doesn't mean you're gonna use it.

STEMs just need themes and to be distracted from philosophy and law long enough to keep selling them some middling ethical inturpretations of antagonism and social customs and rituals. Mystery is a strip show now. Themes are Chad tier /lit/ discussion because these can address being an egotistical strategist in a Real Time society with Real World consequences. Themes are a language for judges and convicts to mingle with, a custom to study to win atvantage and to be vigilant of in others who would do you wrong; knowledge and consciousness, love constructed and justice a truth of the world, fortune in history and fate in justification. Themes are what give us distinction and eloquence before we can be distinct or plainspoken. What measure of a man is he that stands before a reason and not the reasoner? What say he?
