What is the cheapest way to get a KJV Bible? I'm thinking of going around to an Anglican church and begging for a free one, because I heard somewhere that some churches distribute them for free. Has anyone tried this? If so, I'd like to hear your experiences. As for why I want one, I want that particular translation because it's the most pertinent to reading the rest of the Western Canon; I want to get around to reading it from a purely secular and literary perspective. I was raised in a Catholic household, so it's difficult for me to get any physical Protestant bibles.

You can find a KJV bible for 3 or 4 dollars at a used bookstore or a thrift shop. If you're shameless you could email a Protestant church in your area and say you're curious and would like a KJV bible but are indigent. They won't ship you one unless you're very shameless and deceitful.

Probably Gideon would send you one for free.

Probably Google searching "free king james bible" will be enough.
