we all sort of envy them, don't we?
They seem to have that one quality we ourselves find lacking. Dignity. Respect. Authority. Pride.

Its like the one thing you want, more than anything else, is to make them look foolish. They surround themselves with fools in an effort not to look foolish, its there, plain as day, but somehow, your the one who envies them

how can you envy anyone in a world as manipulated as this one? Envy is the endpoint of a game which sees you lose to hypocrisy. Always. Unless it is unknown or animal, it has no sinc to language, nothing matches beyond categories and therefore blah, blah, blah.

When they think of a strong man, they tell themselves they mean a 'moral' man, but what they really want is a savage. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

>> No.12346408

>>12346389
And i revel in it when I write. I revel in being the savage. I can imagine myself committing a never ending series of escalating depravities in order to force the world into making some kind of sense.

Because cruelty offends me. It offends my sense of order about the universe.

>> No.12346451

>>12346408
When you think about the absurdity of modern life, its cruelty, its hubris, then doesn't it seem tempting, even a little bit, to commit one mild little atrocity to put everything back into perspective?

To have that teenager who won't turn down his music dragged out and beaten in the streets? To watch that pedophile priest be dragged out into the desert and burned alive? To restore some semblance of order, a return to compassion, and all it takes is one, tiny, little atrocity, one act so ferocious that it shocks the senses back into to some semblance of normalcy?

>> No.12346474

>>12346451
Until those acts themselves become a vice. And every atrocity is worse than the last. Until soon you are committing worse crimes than your victims could have ever imagined. Until that last little thread slips away, and you become everything you ever despised, everything you ever hated, and there's nothing left but a hollowed out shell an urn containing the ashes of your soul.

knowing when to let go, and knowing when to stop. thats the morality tale. thats the lie.
