I like Peterson and am willing to defend him. I've done so multiple times, but most people are such NPCs about their dislike for him and don't listen to reason.

What I will say more than anything else, is that his lectures are actually quite informative. Ignore everything else but his lectures, and I think you will see that he is a decent professor. Which as a student who does a lot of self-study through independent reading and watching online lectures, is really all I could ask for.

Before Peterson I never took Karl Jung that seriously. I knew a bit about him and had some knowledge of Freud, but I found further engagement with these two thinkers to have been quite beneficial.

I myself have read plenty of the above, I even enjoyed Bell Hooks a bit, but I find Peterson's arguments against privileging this discourse in the humanities to be on the right track. While CRT can be interesting the field has become so wide as to be inundated with pure shit, and the lack of peer review standards as compared to a field like Peterson's, clinical psychology, is immediately apparent. It would one thing if this was confined to Lit./Culture studies but it's already becoming dominant in Anthro and Sociology.
