Lol he was mostly concerned with petty tribal disputes and international relations, hardly the ground for the sorts of questions a sincere philosopher would engage in

>t. doesn't even know philosophy 101-tier basic general knowledge about contemporary philosophy, psychology, or linguistics.

I don't agree with the mans politics, but his influence on philosophy, linguistics, computer science, and cognitive science has been immense and well deserved.

One can fairly clearly follow a historical path from Descartes to Kant to Frege to (early) Wittgenstein, and ultimately to Chomsky in terms of the epistemological maturation and development of the cognitive sciences. Tour entire Rationalistic methodological paradigm in the cognitive sciences basically rests on the shoulders of these men. Whether this is a "good" thing or not is still up for debate (c.f. later Wittgenstein, Richard Rorty, etc. for the limitations of rationalist psychology and linguistics), but Cognitive Science, for all it's shortcomings, has made rapid progress in the last 60 years, and much of that work has it's roots in Chomsky's philosophy.

One of those analytic niggers like Austin, Rawls, or Quine.
As much as I admire Heidegger, Lacan, and Deleuze, I highly doubt they were of much use to society as a whole.
