Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding of anarchist communism is that it requires everyone's needs be met with no strings attached and production to be based on needs instead of profit. Because those needs require labor, and because there can be no exchange for that labor (since the basic needs come with no strings attached), wouldn't you end up with a system where people would have to pay (with their labor) to maintain the system without being able to control the direction of their labor, resulting in exploitation? Isn't that why Marxists typically imagine their system in a post-scarcity society?
