I don't know the answer to this, either--like, Derrida's deconstruction, I have no idea why Derrida opined that deconstruction would be used always for leftist ends--it's not inherently leftist.

I did a lit major back in college and JP is 100% correct on this. All of my theory classes had Marxist underpinnings. Everything in post-modernist studies always went back to dialectics and cultural marxism.

I stopped taking him even a little seriously after reading the passage from his latest book where he openly bemoans that he can’t beat up a literal two year old for doing what a two year old does, which is ironic, since that’s ultimately what Peterson advocates.

Generalizations about a whole demographic (however wrong or bigoted these may be) are different than allegations against a specific individual which can ruin a career/personal life despite a legal presumption of innocence. You really can't conflate the two because some outrageous generalization about a group isn't going to ruin an individual who shares identity with that group.
