Some real shit right here. I've only recently gotten into poetry after making my way through the Iliad, so I figured I'd move onto one of the swedish 20th century greats, ie Harry Martinson, with both Byron and Keats at the top of my reading list.

It's a really fun read, but definitely something that requires 100% focus. The Oxford world classics edition has a nice cover and helpful notes too.
The poetry is sublime at points, and any kind of detailed take on Christian mythology is interesting.
I will say that the parts with God and Jesus in Heaven are predictably boring, a lot of high praises and not much point- but if you liked the Iliad it's no more grinding than that.
All in all I'd recommend it.

I haven't read much of the book yet (I just passed the part where Mari helped the Chinese prostitute) but it's enjoyable so far, albeit the plot isn't as engaging as to me in comparison to some of Murakami's other works; although the MC seems pretty likeable. Pic related, it's somewhat how I imagine Mari looks like.

Härligt att höra! Inga problem.

>> No.11835094

if you believe that japmoot is a dataminer, then (for example) posting any personal information including age or location allows him to assemble an anonymous data packet that profiles you.

in a strong datamining operation, you don't even need to post anything explicit for a profile of you to be generated. every page you load is a data point that the servers of any website can easily store in a profile.

it gets dystopic or invasive when you consider that he could theoretically sell a collection of these profiles to another company, which would correlate the 4chan profiles with other profiles they've bought, and if you've posted consistently about yourself anywhere else, their profile of you would grow more and more detailed, possibly down to your name. this is how large conglomerates like google and amazon target you for ads—though they're not the only ones who do it, just the most effective and visible.
